There are more extensive facilities in the market town of Saffron Walden, about 4.5 miles to the south. For the commuter Audley End Station provides a regular service to London's Liverpool Street (55 mins). Road communications are good with the A1307 at Linton which connects with the A11 to the north and M11 to the south. The University City of Cambridge is 11 miles to the north.
